Anna von Trotha founded smallspace agency after having worked over a decade in publishing. She started her career as a business consultant at The Boston Consulting Group, followed by an executive trainee program at Axel Springer, Germany’s largest newspaper publishing house training in different departments including editorial, production, controlling, publicity and marketing.
She joined the German publishing house Berlin Verlag in 2002 as part of their publicity team. When Bloomsbury Publishing acquired Berlin Verlag she took over the position of Head of Publicity for Bloomsbury Berlin and Bloomsbury Children’s book in Berlin. In 2010 she joined the newly formed Business Development unit at Bloomsbury Plc in London providing publishing services to the financial industry. Next to her work in publishing from 2009 onwards Anna ran a project space for young artists in Berlin. Combining her interest in art and books in 2012 she joined the art book publishing house Lund Humphries as their Senior Marketing Manager.
Since 2014 Anna has been working for a number of publishing houses on a variety of projects. In 2015 she founded smallspace collaborating with experts in publishing related fields.
